Pawlenty In Munich

Minnesota
Gov. Tim Pawlenty is schmoozing with U.S.
and foreign dignitaries this weekend during a trip to Germany.

As
chairman of the National Governors Association, Pawlenty is attending the 44th
Munich Conference on Security Policy. He and others will hear from
international security experts as well as a U.S.
assistant secretary of state, two U.S. ambassadors and the Serbian
president.

GOP
presidential candidate Sen. John McCain of Arizona was expected to attend, but backed
out after his Super Tuesday victories put him on the path toward locking up his
party’s nomination. Pawlenty, of course, is co-chairman of McCain’s national
campaign.
