The Republican National Convention officially begins Monday, but protesters are beginning five days of presence in and around St. Paul this morning.
A war protest will take place today. Organizers set on the Capitol’s south lawn boots representing Minnesota’s Iraqi war soldier deaths. There will be a similar but larger display on Tuesday of boots representing soldier deaths from nearby states, including boots actually worn by soldiers who died in the war.
The largest convention protest is set for Monday, when organizers of the Coalition to March on the RNC say upwards of 50,000 people will participate.
