More details were released today on upcoming U.S. Senate debates sponsored by the nonpartisan Debate Minnesota organization.
The first debate with GOP Sen. Norm Coleman, Democrat Al Franken and Independence Party candidate Dean Barkley will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rochester’s University Center. It will be 90 minutes.
Debate Minnesota is hosting two others:
— 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Breck High School’s Cargill Theater in Minneapolis. The 90-minute debate is co-sponsored by KARE-TV. The first hour will be televised, and the entire debate will be live on KARE’s Web site, according to the television station.
— 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at University of Minnesota Duluth’s Weber Music Hall. It will be a 90-minute debate.
The candidates also will meet Oct. 24 on Twin Cities Public Television’s "Almanac," and again Nov. 2 for a Minnesota Public Radio-sponsored debate in St. Paul.
