Minnesota transportation officials plan $1.4 billion in construction projects on the state’s roadways this year.
In all, the state Transportation Department plans 51 Twin Cities-area projects and 172 road improvements in greater Minnesota. Projects includes bridge replacements, pavement resurfacing and highway reconstruction.
Some projects will be paid for with federal economic stimulus funds, including 63 outside the Twin Cities area.
