U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson and U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar will host a Thursday meeting about farm issues and plans for the next farm bill.

The meeting will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Youngquist Auditorium, University of Minnesota Crookston.

Peterson leads the House Agriculture Committee and, thus, is a vital cog in federal farm policy. Klobuchar sits on the Senate Agriculture committee and also will have a say in the farm bill, which Peterson says he wants to pass by the end of next year.
