The Minnesota Legislature is in session today, the first Saturday session of 2011.
But more important to many Capitol observers are the conference committee reports now being posted at htttps://www.revisor.mn.gov/reports/conference/.
The reports are agreements between House and Senate negotiators on various budget bills. By the end of the weekend, most of the eight spending bills and one tax bill should be on line for Minnesotans to read.
Gov. Mark Dayton says he will begin looking through the bills Sunday, after he returns from the Governor’s Fishing Opener in Grand Rapids. Then on Monday, expect his administration and key legislators to begin negotiating a final budget deal.
