Civil War’s 150th anniversary noted at Minnesota Capitol

Rep. Dean Urdahl of Grove City looks over artifacts Wednesday during Civil War Sesquicentennial Day at the Minnesota Capitol. Urdahl is an author of history-oriented books. Three Civil War-era cannons were brought in for the ceremony, along with other displays.

Among those featured at the Civil War event were, from left, Gov. Mark Dayton, former Gov. Albert Quie, Supreme Court Justice Paul Anderson and Adjutant General Richard Nash. Secretary of State Mark Ritchie hosted the event.
