Minnesota’s top political leaders gather Thursday for a rare joint look into their crystal balls about what may happen during the 2016 legislative session.

The forum may be the only time Gov. Mark Dayton will appear with all four legislative leaders before the session, which begins March 8.

The 1 p.m. event sponsored by Forum News Service will be livestreamed by Senate Media Services at tinyurl.com/MNSenateVideo and archived there after the hour-long forum.

The event, not open to the general public, is an opportunity for media from around Minnesota to ask questions of Dayton, House Speaker Kurt Daudt, Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk, House Minority Leader Paul Thissen and Senate Minority Leader David Hann.

Reporters often use information gleaned from the event to write preview stories that usually run just before the session starts.

Forum News Service delivers state and regional news to newspapers and other media outlets throughout the Upper Midwest.
